How it works

Familiar streets.
A little more imagination.

No design skills needed. We do the drawing; you choose how far out to zoom.

01

Type your address

We look up your streets, parks, water and the landmarks people know your town by.

02

Pick a view

The whole city, your suburb, your neighbourhood or your own street, each drawn in a hand-made toy-town style.

03

Make it yours

Add a name to your house sign and download a PNG or SVG. Your drawing is free to keep.

Questions

Good to know.

Where does the map come from?

From OpenStreetMap, the free map of the world made by volunteers. If something near you is missing, it can be added on openstreetmap.org and will show up in new mats.

Will my house be on it?

Yes. Every view keeps your address on the mat, marked with a flagged house and the name you choose. The wider views lean towards your city centre and landmarks so the mat feels like home.

What can I download?

A PNG image at 1800 × 1200 pixels, or an SVG that stays sharp when you resize it. Both include the OpenStreetMap credit.

What happens to my search?

Your search goes through Rimu Roads to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to find the location. Results are cached temporarily to avoid repeated lookups. Nearby map features come from public Overpass services. Your drawing stays in your browser, and your address is not added to the page URL. No account is needed.

Why does a view take a while to draw?

We use free, shared map services. Busy areas and the whole-city view can take longer. You can download the first view while the others load, or try a failed view again.
